Knock on our door

The internet has changed things and now many reach out to lodges to join.  However, we are a cautious bunch and we only accept those who we find worthy to join.  The "secrets" of Freemasonry are different for each brother, as Freemasonry is a journey of deep introspection, not a clandestine adventure from Hollywood.

About Freemasonry in Westchester and Putnam Counties

Things to Consider.

There are both the First Westchester Putnam District and the Second Westchester Putnam District. The First district has seven lodges and the Second has eight. Lodges meet at different places and times. The First is located West of the Harlem Line Railroad and the Second is to the East. Both districts work together and visit each other’s lodges.  Joining a lodge is more than a matter of logistics and you need to understand that each lodge is like a small family with its unique dynamics, strengths and weaknesses.  One should take their time and visit with brethren from different lodges to get to know about each lodge and take your time reflecting if you have the time and true interest in becoming a Masonic Brother.  From personal experience, we can tell you Freemasonry is definitely something that you get out of what you put into it.

Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest fraternity. It is comprised of adult men (18+) of good character from every country,  religion, race, age, income, education, and opinion. Its body of  knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a  responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family,  his faith, his country, and his fraternity.
